Cookies & Tracking Preferences

This page explains how we use small data files ("cookies") & similar technologies (local storage, session storage, and limited analytics beacons) to operate, secure, and improve Skin-Stash. You control non-essential categories below.

1. Overview

Cookies & similar storage technologies help us:

  • Maintain secure sessions & cart state
  • Remember preferences (server selection, consent choices)
  • Measure performance & detect errors
  • Protect accounts & mitigate abuse

We avoid invasive fingerprinting, cross-site tracking beacons or selling user data. Minimal aggregated analytics only.

2. Cookie Categories

Essential

Required for core site operation (session state, cart, security tokens, auth flags). Cannot be disabled.

Always On

Functional

Remembers user choices (preferred server, dismissed banners, form persistence).

Performance

Anonymous load timing & resource diagnostics to improve speed and stability.

Analytics

Aggregated visit counts, feature engagement & funnel completion (no cross-site tracking).

Marketing

Internal campaign attribution & optional partner referral tagging. No third-party ad broker pixels.

Security / Abuse

Rate limiting tokens & anomaly detection signals (hashed / ephemeral).

3. Retention & Expiry

Most essential session values reset when you logout or clear local storage. Preference records persist up to 12 months unless revoked. Security tokens rotate frequently (5–60 min). Performance & analytics aggregates are stored only in summarized, non-identifying form.

You may clear or reset consent at any time using your browser controls or the buttons above.

4. Third-Party Services

We currently rely on limited third-party infrastructure (CDN, font delivery, optional analytics endpoint) which may set strictly necessary technical cookies or receive anonymized usage metrics. We do not embed retargeting networks or social media pixels.

  • Font delivery (Google Fonts) – style assets
  • CDN edge caching – static resource optimization
  • Internal analytics (self-hosted / aggregated)

5. Changes to This Policy

Substantive amendments will be signaled via an in-site banner or account notice. Minor clarifications update silently with revision date adjustment.
